Challenge & Solutions
Meeting customer requirements within various constraints
Given that FamilyMart is a super app with numerous existing stores and integrates many features, I must design within the constraints of existing styles and functionality limitations caused by multiple API integrations.
Taking over the project midway
This is my first major project since joining the company, and it was already in the wireframe stage when I took over from the departing designer. I can only do my best to understand the original design concept and take over to fulfill the client's design requirements
Wearing the hat of a PM
Since the Project manager in our team plays more of a supportive role and lacks someone to integrate and communicate with the development team, I have to take on the additional responsibilities of a PM
Backend team replaced midway
The entire backend team was replaced because the client felt that the output of the initial backend team differed significantly from the design specifications. However, the subsequent team opted for a straightforward and convenient approach to development, resulting in a substantial compromise in the UI design as well.
The logic of Content Management System is complex
The rules and logic of the Content Management System are intricate, requiring extensive discussions with the development team and the client, consuming a considerable amount of time
